This Hive's Alive!
Just as we started development of our new Hive design, one savvy client was poised to beat the buzz with an enquiry that aligned with our new model perfectly. Fast forward a few months and we were delighted to bring this Hive garden room to life over in Essex.
Bringing the Hive to life
Evolving from our Knightsbridge garden room design, The Hive adds an angular attitude and convenient corner style that makes it perfect for locations just like this one. Situated handsomely in the corner of our client's manicured suburban garden, this Hive provides the perfect multi-purpose space for the family to enjoy.
Spanning 3.85 x 3.85m, this garden room offers a surprisingly spacious and stylish area, with a combination of natural Thermowood cladding and anthracite grey frames complementing the contemporary look. Adapting the popular decking and overhead canopy feature from our Knightsbridge into a half hexagon, this Hive is also fitted with sleek recessed outdoor lighting. Continuing inside, the recessed lighting continues, with all electrical and lighting features neatly hidden within the walls and ceilings. As with all our garden rooms, the walls, floors and ceiling are fully insulated, making this Hive a true year round space. All of this function is also matched with a superb quality of finish, with wood-plank vinyl flooring and customisable wall coverings all included in each of our garden rooms.
With this build taking place over only a few days, disruption to our client was kept to a minimum without any sacrifices on finish. As the Hive was first conceived as a garden pod, we were able to pre-build the entire structure ahead of time, creating easy to transport -pre-assembled sections that came together on-site, fully decorated from our studios. Clean, contemporary and with another client left smiling, we're very grateful to be entrusted with creating this perfect Hive hideaway!
